I recently found myself at Poblado Kimal in the historic oasis town of San Pedro de Atacama, a delightful spot for anyone craving a blend of tradition and modern comfort. Nestled just off the main street, it embodies a serene atmosphere, making it a pleasant retreat after a day of exploration. The architecture beautifully reflects local traditions while providing functional modern amenities. My spacious cottage featured a lovely terrace, ideal for unwinding with a book and a cup of Irish tea. Cleanliness was evident, which I appreciated after my desert treks-nothing nicer than returning to a fresh room. What stood out was the warm hospitality from the staff. They were genuinely friendly and attentively addressed any needs. While the on-site restaurant offered decent breakfast options and quick takeaway bags for early outings, the central location allowed easy access to nearby eateries and shops, providing a taste of local culture. Poblado Kimal is comfortable and well-equipped, offering a unique opportunity to experience the magic of San Pedro while still enjoying a bit of tranquility. I'd suggest it for travelers seeking both adventure and comfort.
